Kindly note that the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Malta, the Hon Carmelo Abela has submitted his candidatures to a post on the Executive Council of the International Parliamentary Union (IPU) and the Membership of the Committee to Promote Respect for International Humanitarian Law of the IPU. I am attaching herewith the following documents:

 

1. The Speaker’s submission to contest for a post on the Executive Council.

The election will be held during the 153^rd  IPU Assembly scheduled to be held in Arusha, Tanzania from 5^th to 9^th October 2026.
